FAQs

Surface-Related Questions

What holds down the court surface? Is it harmful to what lies underneath?

PickleRoll Ready-to-Play Squares are designed to rest securely on properly prepared surfaces using their weight, precision fit, and professional surface engineering. When installed on suitable indoor or outdoor bases, they do not damage the underlying surface and can be removed or relocated as needed.

Can the court be played on right away after installation?

Yes. Ready-to-Play Squares are playable immediately after installation. Once the surface is laid and aligned, there is no waiting period—players can start using the court right away.

Do the edges on the court present an issue to players?

No. The court surface is approximately 1/8 inch thick, creating a low-profile playing surface. When properly installed, the edges sit flush and do not interfere with play. Professional players who have tested our courts agree.

How should I care for my PickleRoll court?

Minor cuts, scratches, or wear can be addressed using the PickleRoll self-maintenance kit. To maintain optimal performance and appearance, we recommend applying a new topcoat approximately every three years, depending on usage and environment.

How heavy is a PickleRoll court?

Each 4′ × 4′ Ready-to-Play Square weighs approximately 8 lbs. Court weight varies by size, with smaller courts starting around 50 lbs and full-size regulation courts starting around 450 lbs. For exact specifications, our team is happy to help.

How long does the initial setup take?

Setup time depends on court size, location, surface conditions, and whether the installation is indoors or outdoors. Because each project is unique, we recommend reaching out to our sales team to determine the best solution and estimated setup time for your space.

Playability Questions

How do I maintain a PickleRoll court?

PickleRoll courts are maintained similarly to traditional outdoor pickleball courts. Regular sweeping and removal of debris will keep the surface clean and playable. To maintain performance and extend the life of the court, we recommend applying a new topcoat approximately every three years, depending on usage and environment.

Is there any bounce difference on the court, including the lines?

No. PickleRoll features a professional, tournament-quality surface designed for consistent ball response across the entire court—including the lines. Players experience uniform bounce, reliable grip, and predictable play.

How does the ball bounce? What is the speed and spin like?

PickleRoll delivers natural ball bounce with balanced speed, grip, and spin. The surface has been tested by professional players, who consistently praise its performance, feel, and playability.

What happens when the PickleRoll court gets wet?

When installed on a flat, level, and hard surface, PickleRoll courts perform like traditional outdoor courts. Water does not pool on the surface, allowing for efficient drainage and shorter drying times after rain or cleaning.
